Christmas

I don’t know about you, but I absolutely adore Christmas. The traditions, the festivities, spending time with my lovely family plus lots more. A tradition my family had before covid-19 was on Christmas eve we would go to my mother’s great grandmas for dinner and all my mother’s family would be there as well. Going there for dinner was always a surprise most years the was always new kinds of food more kids to play with/ watch. It was easier for the adults to have the kids somewhere else than in their face, I was happy to volunteer. The best part was when we were all gathered around a table with delicious, yummy food while pappy said grace and then we would dig in. After dinner we would have dessert, something delicious again. And all the little ones would gather around the tree to open the presents, I never really cared what I got, I was just happy that everyone was together having fun. Now on Christmas day my brother would come screaming out of his room waking everyone up to open presents. His little smile is what kept me awake and for mom and dad it was coffee. He would get wrapping paper everywhere, but mom and dad never cared neither did I. After presents we would have a yummy breakfast and then around four o’clock, we would head to my dad’s moms, my grandma’s. We would once again eat very yummy food, open presents once again and laugh all night long. This year I got to give my family presents with all the money I saved last year, and it was the best Christmas ever I love seeing my family happy and Christmas is all about being in the mood to spread some cheer and have fun. What are some of your traditions that you and your family do?

Sorry this is a little late, I started this before the break

The Responsibility of Being a Sibling

Being a sibling of seven is complicating although I haven’t seen four of my siblings since I was the 4 or 5. But I still see and live with the 3. I live with my sister Emberly who’s only 6 months. I also live with my 6 year old brother Kai. My other sister is Alexis but where just step siblings and she moved in with her dad a while ago. Now for the responsibility of having siblings, it really depends on your parents and how you act / care for them. I love my siblings with all my and I try to spend as much time as possible. I don’t see them in the mornings before school because there sleeping. But when I get back, I usually play with one or both for a while. If I’m completely torn and have no energy left ill just hold Emberly or put her o my lap so that mom doesn’t have to. I don’t know about you but I like cooking for my family, so more siblings means more cooking. And my brother is so picky, so even when I cook for him like ill make him some rice and beans as well as help dad cook the chicken on the fire. And then he will just push it away and sit at the dinner table all night till bed. All that food and time for nothing. One of the things I when there a newborn you might have to change there dipper a few times. I personally hate changing dippers but I only have to do it like once or twice ever 2 to 3 months so its not the worst thing in the world so i’m okay with it. I could pretend that this is all the responsibility , but THERE IS SO MUCH MORE.

To be continued……..
